Box Man

Hello everyone, I started making this game using Python just for fun, so I could play it with my kid. But during development, the game started impressing me, and I decided to take it further. I created more brain-straining levels, compiled it into a Windows game, and uploaded it here for everyone to try and enjoy for free. Introducing Box Man - Shine Your Brain to Win Rewards await for the winners !

Additionally, If you are two hand player, you can also use SPACE key for jump.

How to play ?

Move left or right, collect the key to unlock the door, and reach the door to escape and finish the level. Avoid spikes and moving enemies, and use power-ups like the star and fire wisely to help you escape enemies and reach the key or door.

About Characters and items

Box : It's you the main character.
Door : Door is the goal to escape.
Key : Key unlocks the door.
Star : Make you 5 Seconds Invincible.
Fire : Kill 1 enemy at a time.
Spike : Invincible enemy.
Verticle : Enemy moves Up & Down.
Horizontal : Enemy moves Left & Right.
Bricks : Platforms that hold the player.

Other Info

01 There is only one key, one door, and one player per level. The number of enemies can vary depending on the level.

02 Doors are always red when locked. You must collect the key to unlock the door, turning it green so you can escape through it.

03 Stars grant you invincibility for 5 seconds, helping you avoid enemies and hazards, especially spikes.

04 You can carry only one fire at a time. Use it wisely before picking up another one.

05 If there are multiple stars, choose wisely! Pick the one that helps you reach the exit instead of collecting them randomly.

06 Always keep an eye on the timer! Each level has a time limit. Escape before time runs out, or you'll die!

07 Some levels require skill, some require perfect timing, some demand speed, and others test your gaming skills.

08 Completing each level unlocks the next one. Level 20 is the final level, and completing it unlocks Developer Mode.

09 Press Space to restart the level from the checkpoint if you've captured the flag. Otherwise, press S to restart from the beginning.

10 Press ESC at any time to pause or resume the game. Pausing stops the timer, allowing you to continue playing later.

11 Completing each level rewards you with a secret code that lets you continue from where you left off.

12 Don't forget to write it down! Exiting the game will erase your progress if you haven’t saved your code.

13 You can mute and unmute the game from main menu top corner icon or by pressing M key to toggle mute/unmute anytime.

14 During game play press K anytime to self kill yourself, useful when you try to respawn from checkpoint when alive.

Create & Load Game

You can become the developer and create your own game levels! Save and export your creations as JSON files to share and challenge your friends. They can simply load the game, import your JSON file, and start playing. To unlock Developer Mode (Create & Load features), you must first complete Level 20—the final level. Completing the game rewards you with full developer access.

Do your friends need to complete Level 20 just to play your custom levels? No! You can share a secret code with them that unlocks only the 'Load Game' feature. Check out the secret codes listed below.

You can test your level as you build it, set a timer, and add a custom victory message. Please note that clicking 'Save' only stores your progress temporarily in temp.json. To prevent losing your work, make sure to export your level as a JSON file before leaving the editor.

SECRET CODE

There are multiple secret codes in the game. It will be not good to reveal all those now itself. So ill keep some secret for now. May be I'll share some later or you guys can explore by yourself. Anyway few codes listed below. To apply secret codes press SPACE at main menu.

First player to complete the game is Asif from Techno world to reveal all the secret codes and winning the reward ₹100 & god mode secret code. Congrats brother good game. Respect++
